Oven Charred Tomatoes
  • 2-3 tomatoes
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 1tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1clove garlic (minced)
  • 1tsp dry basil
  • Salt and Pepper
  1. Cut tomatoes in half and place in to a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and toss tomatoes to coat thoroughly. Place tomatoes on a oiled backing sheet pan cut side up. Place pan in to an oven that has been preheated to 450 degrees. Cook for 15 minutes, until the edges of the tomatoes start to darken and become charred.
  2. These will be perfect for our Charred Tomato Risotto, but would be great as a side dish on their own sprinkled with a little parmesan as well.
