Maple Bourbon Cranberry Sauce

  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 8 oz cranberries
  • 1 ea zested lemon
  • 1 ea cinnamon stick
  • 1.5 oz bourbon


  • Combine the water, maple syrup, lemon juice, and lemon zest into a medium sauce pan, bring to simmer
  • Add the cranberries and cinnamon stick and bring back to simmer
  • Reduce sauce until it starts to thicken and add the bourbon and continue reducing until completely thickened
  • Remove cinnamon stick and cool
