Maple Bourbon Cranberry Sauce
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup water
- 8 oz cranberries
- 1 ea zested lemon
- 1 ea cinnamon stick
- 1.5 oz bourbon
Combine the water, maple syrup, lemon juice, and lemon zest into a medium sauce pan, bring to simmer
Add the cranberries and cinnamon stick and bring back to simmer
Reduce sauce until it starts to thicken and add the bourbon and continue reducing until completely thickened
Remove cinnamon stick and cool
